PoplightVideo creates and records a light-show on a semi-abandonned cabin in the darkest part of the Mojave desert near Amboy, California. This art installation is for the entertainment of travelers taking the back road across Bristol Dry Lake, a vast expanse of empty space ringed with mountains and hung with stars. This wildly illuminated cabin is the only light for miles in any direction. This show, which recurs weekend nights, changes continually, so there are many different videos of it that will become available as short quicktime movies. Some will include the passersby who stop and play in the colored light, others will be of the cabin alone. More videos can be seen on my website, poplight.net.
